(Frequently Asked Questions)

What do you do on a visit for an expectant mother?

The home visitor assists a mother in prenatal stages with growth and development information for her unborn child.  The need for such services is vital for expectant mothers to understand the critical nature of prenatal development.

What can you do with my baby?

The home visitor assists with home safety checks when a new baby is born.  The home visitor works closely with the parent to discuss personal issues the parent may not wish to address in a large group setting such as; breast feeding, child neglect, income problems, housing issues, developmental delays, and more.

Our Born To Learn curriculum is used with newborns through age three.  It includes discussion points, educational handouts for the parent, a parent/child activity provided by the home visitor, and an informational video series on neuroscience.
