What are the guidelines for this program?

There has to be enough income at the time of the application to pay the monthly mortgage payment and the rest of the normal household bills. The home must be affordable to be eligible for this program.  In other words, the crisis has to be resolvable.

How do I pay these funds back if my application is approved?

At closing, whomever is on the mortgage needs to be present and sign the proper documents.  We then go to the County and put a lien on the property.  If the homeowner ever refinances or sells the home, the lien needs to be paid back in full.  If neither situations happen, the lien needs to be paid back after 30 years.  There is no interest on these monies.
